    The Four Sites of Chardham

The Char Dham is a group of four pilgrimage sites based in India. The importance of these sides is that 20 help in achieving salvation. Salvation is the ultimate peace of soul. The names of four sides are Badrinath, Dwarka, Puri and Rameshwaram. It is believed very strongly that every Hindu must visit the Chardham once at least in one’s life. There is one more circuit of ancient pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand which is called as Chota Char Dham. The names of these pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand are Yamunotri, Gangotri to Kedarnath and Badrinath. They are different from the bigger Char Dham pilgrimage sites. The Chhota Chardham shrines are closed in winter season because of heavy snowfall and they reopen again in summer season. It is because in summer season the snow gets melted. Planning to Chardham Yatra tour package for all the elders of your family can help you reach salvation while living a good life.

    Chardham Mahamarg Vikas Pariyojna

In 2016 on 23rd of December the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Chardham Mahamarg Vikas Pariyojna or Char Dham Highway development project. This Highway development project is for the betterment of connectivity of these pilgrimage sites and help The Hindu pilgrims reach The Pilgrimage sites easily. After this development project the Chardham Yatra package has become pretty feasible and convenient. It has become easier especially for the older people.

    Puri

Puri is the first pilgrimage site which is located at the East in Odisha, India. The main Idol or god who is worshipped over here is Lord Krishna popularly known as lord Jagannath. This is the only pilgrimage site in India where there is the idol of goddess Subhadra who was the sister of Lord Krishna and Lord balabhadra who was the brother of Lord Jagannath. The main temple was constructed around thousand years ago by Raja Choda Ganga Deva and Raja Tritiya Anand Bhima Deva. The literal meaning of Jagannath is world personified. This temple was basically a Jain temple.

    Rameshwaram

Rameshwaram is located in the south direction of India in the state of Tamil Nadu in the Gulf of Mannar. To be precise, it is exactly located at the tip of Indian peninsula. This place is considered as one of the pilgrimage sites because at this place Lord Ram along with his brother Lord Laxman and Devotee Lord Hanuman and the whole of Vanar Sena started building the bridge called as Ram Setu to reach Sri Lanka in order to rescue goddess Sita, the wife of Lord Ram. There is a temple called as the ramanathaswamy temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva, has a great area in Rameshwaram. It is believed that when one goes to Banaras which is also a pilgrimage site, one has to come to Rameshwaram also otherwise the journey remains incomplete. Sri Ramanatha Swamy Temple has Shivling which is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas.

    Dwarka

The location of Dwarka is the state of Gujarat in the west of India. The literal meaning of Dwarka is a door or gate. Dwarka is a Sanskrit word. Its exact location is the place where Gomti river merges into the Arabian Sea. This Gomti river is different from the tributary which comes out from the holy Ganga river. Dwarka is known for Lord Krishna’s bringing up and all the magical incidences done by Lord Krishna. The city of Dwarka has submerged by water of the Arabian Sea whenever it overflows.

    Badrinath

Badrinath is located in Uttarakhand in Garhwal Hills. It is located on the banks of Alaknanda river. The town is located between the narrow and Narayan mountain ranges. This mountain range falls in the shadow area of Neelkanth peak. Badrinath offers many interesting sightseeing spots like Vyas gufa, Charan Paduka, the book of the Saraswati river, Mana, Mata Murti, bhimkund, etc. There are four Maths established by Adi Shankaracharya ji in India, one of them is Joshimath which is the winter seat of Chardham . All the three dams are open throughout the year, it is only Badrinath Dham which is open for the pilgrims for widgets from April to October only.

The Chardham Yatra tour package from Delhi is going to take you to all the four dams in the country and will give you lots of mental peace. The tour package is a very convenient and reasonable one and a good to go spot if you are inclined towards religiousness and you have faith in pilgrimage sites. These places do create some positive difference when you visit them. This is absolutely tried and proven. Be it the temples in the cities or the pilgrimage sites in the special parts of the country, all the temples have great divine influence on the people. People are satisfied with magic that works because of these magical places. It is really a great experience. One should travel to these places.
